NYU TRAVEL POLICIES

These policies do not reflectpost-COVIDchanges going into effect in the Fall.   NYU requires all students, staff and faculty to provide proof of vaccination and meet daily scanning/compliance standards.

CONDUCT

All NYU competitors are subject to the rules and guidelines outlined in the NYU Code of Conduct.

MEDICAL EMERGENCY

NYU on-campus medical protocols are outlined here.

At tournaments, if there is a medical issue, students should report it ASAP to their assigned tournament coach and to the Director of Debate so that 911 can be contacted immediately, if needed.  If the Director of Debate is not on-site, please send a message by email and by phone to alert him [this can occur AFTER any required 911 communications].

If the medical situation requires a trip to the hospital of any sort, the student should be accompanied by [in priority order] the NYU official directing team activities for the event, the individual running the event or by another NYU team member if the first two options are impossible or too time-delayed.  The hospital/clinic location, background on the condition of the patient and any other information that might be of interest to NYU administrators or the parents/guardians should be relayed by email to the Director and the person leading the team delegation immediately.
